What Claude Duet means for your LinkedIn work
Claude Duet is a new Anthropic app where Claude works as a proactive agent, and Anthropic's notes do not say whether it can reach LinkedIn. For LinkedIn work today, you add the LinkedIn connector to Claude and ask, or you have an agent here that works your LinkedIn first and asks you before it sends.

What is Claude Duet?
Anthropic's release notes for 21 October 2026 say this Anthropic: Release notes, Claude Help Center:
"We just opened a research preview for users on Pro and Max plans: Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent."
That is all the notes say about it. They point to a blog post that is not among the pages this one is written from. The rest of this page is about your LinkedIn, not about the app.
Can Claude Duet reach my LinkedIn?
Anthropic's notes on Duet do not say whether it takes connectors, apps or MCP servers Anthropic: Release notes, Claude Help Center. So nobody can tell you from them that the LinkedIn connector works inside Duet. That is for Anthropic's own pages to say.
What you can do now is add the LinkedIn connector to Claude itself. Then you ask, and Claude runs the LinkedIn actions for you.
Asking versus an agent that starts on its own
In Claude, LinkedIn work starts when you ask. A proactive agent is the other way round: it notices what needs you and comes to you first. On LinkedIn that is mostly four things:
- Someone wrote to you and you never answered.
- A good conversation went quiet and needs a follow-up.
- Someone engaged with your post and is not yet a connection.
- A connection you have never written to at all.
Until an app does this for you, you can ask for the same lists yourself. These only read. Nothing on LinkedIn changes while they run:
- "Who is waiting on a reply from me on LinkedIn? One line on what each one wants."
- "Which of my LinkedIn conversations went quiet in the last month and are worth a follow-up?"
- "Who reacted to or commented on my last post and is not a connection yet?"

Who says yes before something is sent?
You do. Ask to see each draft first, and nothing leaves your account until a send action runs. Then act on the list one person at a time:
- "Draft a short reply to the first two people on that list and show me each one before you send it."

Each kind of action has a daily limit for your account, whichever app asks for it. get_usage shows what you used today. Every action and its limit is on the actions page.
Where to set it up
The steps to add the LinkedIn connector to Claude are on the Claude page. If you want the proactive part on your LinkedIn now, the LinkedIn AI agent finds who is waiting on you, has the follow-up ready, and asks you before it sends.

Is Claude Duet free?
Anthropic's notes say the research preview is open to users on the Pro and Max plans. They say nothing about a free plan. Connecting your LinkedIn here can start on the free plan.
Will the LinkedIn connector work in Claude Duet?
The notes on Duet do not say whether it takes connectors. Until Anthropic's own pages say so, add the connector to Claude, where you can already ask for LinkedIn work.
Do I need Claude Duet to work my LinkedIn from Claude?
No. You add the LinkedIn connector to Claude and ask in plain words. Duet is a separate app, and nothing here depends on it.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
