HeyReagent / Connect Meta Muse to LinkedIn
Connect Meta Muse to LinkedIn
Muse, Meta’s AI agent, does not come with a LinkedIn connector. For a service it does not support yet, Meta’s answer is a custom connector, which you ask Muse to make. This is one for your own LinkedIn: you send Muse one message, give it your key, and ask in plain words. It is free to start.
Set it up
First sign in and connect your LinkedIn on the page you land on. Muse uses a key: make one on that page, under Menu, then Developers. Then:
https://api.heyreagent.com/mcpMuseUses your key.
- Send Muse the message below, as it is.
- Muse answers with a card for the connector. Press Connect on it, then Continue, and paste your key in the form. The key goes there, not in the chat.
- Muse asks whether it may share information with api.heyreagent.com. “Always allow this site” stops it asking before every request. “Allow once” allows the next one only.
- Muse lists the actions and runs the check. Then ask it for what you want.
Create a custom connector called HeyReagent for my LinkedIn. It is a remote MCP server over streamable HTTP at https://api.heyreagent.com/mcp. Every request needs the header "Authorization: Bearer" followed by my key. Ask me for the key in your secure form, not in this chat. Then list its tools and run get_my_profile to check that it works.
We did exactly this on 6 October 2026, in Muse on the web, on Muse's free plan. Muse made the connector from that one message, asked for the key on a card of its own, listed all 92 actions of the free plan and ran the check. With LinkedIn not yet connected, it came back with the private link to connect it.
It is also the way Meta describes. Its help page says: "If you want to connect to a service not yet available in the Connector list, you can ask Muse to create a Custom Connector." Meta's help page on connectors.
What you can ask Muse then
You ask in your own words, and Muse picks the action. Some that work well:
- "Who is waiting on a reply from me on LinkedIn?"
- "Read my conversation with Dana and draft an answer. Show me before you send."
- "Find product managers in Berlin I am not connected to, and write a short invitation for each."
- "Who reacted to my last post and is not a connection yet?"
Behind those are these actions, among others:
who_is_waiting_on_meList the people whose last message you have not answered.get_conversationRead your whole conversation with one person.send_messageSend one message to a 1st-degree connection, or into an existing conversation, now.search_peopleSearch people on ordinary LinkedIn by plain words, a place name and connection degree.send_invitationSend one connection invitation, now.engagers_not_connectedList the people who reacted to or commented on a post and are not your connections.
Every action, and the common chains of them.
What Muse connects to on its own
Meta introduced Muse on 8 September 2026, and on 29 September added skills and connectors for small businesses. The second announcement names the tools: Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom, "as well as your Facebook and Instagram business accounts". LinkedIn is in neither announcement, and searching the connector list inside Muse for it gave "No connectors found" on 5 October 2026. Meta's announcement of 29 September 2026.
The same announcement says what to do about a service that is missing: "Muse also supports custom connectors so you can plug in services we don't support yet". So Muse comes with connectors for a business that sells on Facebook and Instagram. For one that sells on LinkedIn, it needs a custom connector, like this one.
Good to know
- Muse asks before it reaches us. Its question reads "Allow Muse to share information with api.heyreagent.com?", with Allow once, Always allow this site, and Deny. With Allow once it asked again before each request, six times while it set up. Muse says Always allow covers heyreagent.com and all its subdomains.
- Meta does not check custom connectors. Its help page says: "Meta doesn't review custom connectors or how they use your information, so grant access with caution and review the provider's privacy policies." Ours is here.
- Nothing runs on your computer. Meta says Muse runs on "a dedicated secure computer with its own browser", so a connector has to be somewhere Muse can reach from there. Meta's announcement of 8 September 2026. This one is an address on the internet.
- The free plan is for working live. LinkedIn is disconnected after a while without use, and Muse is told so when it happens: it runs
connect_linkedinand gives you the link to connect again. - There are daily limits. Each LinkedIn account has a limit for every kind of action. The limits.
Questions
Does Meta Muse have a LinkedIn connector?
No. Searching the connector list in Muse for LinkedIn gave “No connectors found” when we looked on 5 October 2026, and neither of Meta’s two announcements of Muse (8 and 29 September 2026) mentions LinkedIn. A LinkedIn connector in Muse is a custom connector, which you ask Muse to make.
Does Muse support MCP?
Muse has no screen for adding an MCP server: its Mac app (version 3.0) had none when we looked on 5 October 2026. What it has is custom connectors, which you ask Muse to create. When we gave Muse this MCP address in a message on 6 October 2026, it wrote a small client of its own for it, connected, and listed the actions. Muse Code, Meta’s coding tool, is different: its documentation has a setting for MCP servers.
Is it free?
The free plan of HeyReagent has every Connect action, and our test was done on Muse’s free plan. LinkedIn is disconnected after a while without use, which suits asking Muse while you are there. For work Muse does while you are away, the Connect plan keeps LinkedIn connected. What Muse costs is Meta’s to say: its announcement calls it “free for most of what people need”, with subscription plans.
Will Muse send LinkedIn messages without asking me?
We have not tried a send through Muse, so we cannot say what it asks at that moment; our test only read. What Muse asked us about was reaching the site, not what a request does: “Allow once” lets one request through, and “Always allow this site” stops that question. Meta’s help page says: “By default, Muse will not take many important actions, like sending an email, without your approval”; it does not say how that applies to a custom connector. So ask Muse to show you each draft first. On our side, an action that sends does so at once when Muse runs it. Approval cards, where nothing goes until you tap Send, are part of the Agent plan.
Does it work with Muse for Small Business?
Muse for Small Business is a set of skills and connectors inside the same Muse, announced on 29 September 2026. That announcement says: “Muse also supports custom connectors so you can plug in services we don’t support yet”. This is one of those.
Where can I get Muse?
From Meta. Its announcement of 29 September 2026 describes Muse as “available in the US and Canada”.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn’s User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
Is this made by Meta or LinkedIn?
No. HeyReagent is independent of both. Muse is Meta’s product.
