HeyReagent / An AI agent that answers your LinkedIn messages
An AI agent that answers your LinkedIn messages
Yes, there is one. The agent here reads each new message in your LinkedIn inbox and writes the reply the way you would. You send it, change a word, or skip it, and nothing goes out until you say so. You can also do the same yourself, by asking your own AI app.

Is there an AI agent that answers LinkedIn messages?
Yes. The agent works on your own LinkedIn account. When someone writes to you, it reads the whole conversation and has a reply ready, written for that person, from what they said.
It does not send that reply by itself at the start. It drafts, and you decide: send it, change a word, or skip it. That is where every account begins.
- "Who is waiting on me?"
- "Answer Priya. Keep it short and offer two times for a call."
You can see what it would do on the LinkedIn AI agent page.
Will the reply sound like me?
When you connect LinkedIn, it reads the messages you sent and the posts you wrote, once, to learn how you write. After that it learns from every edit you make to a draft.
What it has learned is one page in plain words. You can open it and rewrite it, or tell it what you want in your own words.
- "Never pitch in the first message."
- "Sign off with just my first name."
What will it never do on its own?
Some things are stops written into the code, so no message and no instruction can talk it out of them.
- Nothing more to someone who said no, or asked for later, until you reopen them.
- No third follow-up in a row to someone who has not answered.
- No reply to a conversation it has not just read.
You can later let it send on its own for the replies you trust it with, and take that back at any time. It still asks before it deletes anything or posts in public.
Can I answer LinkedIn messages from my own AI app instead?
Yes. Connect your LinkedIn to the AI app you already use, then ask it in plain words. It lists who you have not answered, reads the conversation, and writes a reply for you to look at. It sends only when you tell it to.
- "List the people whose last LinkedIn message I have not answered."
- "Read my conversation with Tom and draft a reply. Show me before you send."
who_is_waiting_on_meList the people whose last message you have not answered.list_chat_messagesList the messages of one conversation, newest first.send_chat_messageSend a message into one conversation, with files, a voice note or a video note, or as an answer to one message.
The steps are also written out in the recipes, under reading a conversation and replying.
How many messages can go out in a day?
Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each LinkedIn account. For messages it is 100 a day. Ask how much you have used at any time.
- "How many LinkedIn messages have I sent today?"
get_usageRead how many of each LinkedIn action your account used today, and each daily limit.
Every limit is on the actions page.
Where to set it up
To connect your LinkedIn to your own AI app, see Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse or n8n. For the agent that drafts your replies, see the plans.
Questions
Does the agent send replies without asking me?
Not unless you tell it to. It starts by drafting: you send, change a word, or skip. You can let it send on its own for the things you trust it with, and take that back at any time under Account.
What is the difference between the agent and asking my own AI app?
Your own AI app answers when you ask it, one conversation at a time. The agent watches your inbox for you, has the reply ready when someone writes, and tells you when something needs you.
Does it answer messages I get from people I am not connected to?
A reply goes into a conversation that is already in your LinkedIn inbox, whoever started it. A new message goes to a 1st-degree connection, or starts as an InMail.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
Rather have it done for you?
The Agent plan answers your inbox in your voice, follows up, and finds who to talk to today. You approve what it sends.
