How to send and read LinkedIn InMail from your AI app
An InMail is a LinkedIn message to someone you are not connected to. You can send one from the AI app you already use: name the person, read the draft, and say send. You can also ask it to list your InMail conversations, read one, and tell you how many InMail credits each account has left.

Can my AI app send an InMail for me?
Yes. Give it the person's profile link, or point at someone it found for you, and say what you want to say. It drafts the message with a subject line and shows it to you. It sends only when you tell it to.

How many InMail credits do I have left?
Ask. Your AI app reads how many InMail credits each of your connected accounts has left. It only reads, so it is safe to ask before every message.

Apart from credits, this product has its own daily limit for each account: 40 InMails sent a day. Ask how much of today's limits you have used at any time.

How do I read my InMail replies?
Ask for your InMail conversations, or for every conversation with one person. Then name one and your AI app reads the whole thread. Reading changes nothing.

Can it answer an InMail reply?
Yes. Once someone has written back, the InMail is a conversation like any other. Ask your AI app to draft an answer in it, read it, and tell it to send.

Where to set it up
Connect the app you ask from once, then ask in plain words as above. The setup for each app is on its own page: Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, n8n, or the plain API.
Questions
What is the difference between an InMail and a message?
A message goes to a 1st-degree connection or into a conversation you already have. An InMail goes to someone you are not connected to. Say InMail when you ask, and your AI app sends it as one.
Does checking my InMail credits use one?
No. Reading how many credits are left only reads. Nothing is sent and nothing changes on your account.
Will it send an InMail without asking me?
No. It drafts the InMail and shows it to you. It goes out only when you say send, one person at a time, from your own account.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
