How to use Grok Bot for your LinkedIn
Grok Bot reaches other apps through connectors, which Zapier's guide calls MCP servers, so the way to your LinkedIn is a LinkedIn connector, not a Bot clicking through LinkedIn in its browser. Zapier's guide does not say whether you can add a server of your own by its address. Look in Connect apps first, and if it takes an address, paste the LinkedIn one there and ask a Bot in plain words.

What is Grok Bot?
Zapier's guide puts it this way Zapier: What is Grok Bot?:
"Grok Bot is an AI agent app by SpaceXSI, where you create a team of Bots, each with its own name, role, and context."
In the same guide, Zapier writes that the Bots share one cloud computer with a browser, and keep running even when your laptop is off Zapier: What is Grok Bot?. SpaceXSI's own pages were not read here, so this page goes by Zapier's two posts only.
Can Grok Bot reach my LinkedIn?
Zapier's guide says a Bot reaches other apps through connectors, found under Connect apps, and describes them like this Zapier: What is Grok Bot?:
"These connectors are MCP servers that Grok Bot uses to get information or control external apps."
The LinkedIn connector here is an MCP server too. What Zapier's guide does not say is whether Grok Bot lets you add a server of your own by its address, or only the ones in its list Zapier: What is Grok Bot?. Zapier's other post shows its own connector being added from Connect apps, which is a listed one Zapier: Grok automation, how to use the Zapier Grok integration. So open Connect apps and look for a way to add one by address. If there is one, the LinkedIn address goes there. If there is not, nobody can tell you from these posts that it works.
A connector or the Bot's browser?
Zapier's guide says what a Bot does when there is no connector for the job Zapier: What is Grok Bot?:
"For tasks that have no connector, your Bot relies on the virtual computer instead."
On LinkedIn that would be a Bot in a browser, signed in as you, clicking through pages. With a connector, each step is one named action on your account instead. You can see which ran, and each kind has a daily limit for your account, whichever app asks for it.
Give LinkedIn a Bot of its own
Zapier writes that each Bot keeps its memory, files and preferences across sessions Zapier: What is Grok Bot?. So one Bot whose only role is your LinkedIn can keep your rules from one week to the next. Tell it once, in plain words:
- "You look after my LinkedIn. Each morning, tell me who is waiting on a reply from me, with one line on what each one wants."
- "Once a week, list the conversations that went quiet and suggest one short follow-up for each. Show me every draft and send nothing until I say which."
- "Tell me who reacted to my last post and is not a connection yet."
who_is_waiting_on_meList the people whose last message you have not answered.get_conversationRead your whole conversation with one person.who_went_coldList the conversations that went quiet.engagers_not_connectedList the people who reacted to or commented on a post and are not your connections.
Those only read. Nothing on LinkedIn changes while they run.
How do I keep a Bot to drafts?
Zapier's guide says that once an app is connected you can open it and turn single tools on or off, and gives this example for email Zapier: What is Grok Bot?:
"This is useful for blocking email sending if you only want Grok Bot to draft messages for you, for example."
If the LinkedIn connector shows the same list of tools, leaving the send actions off gives you a Bot that reads and drafts and cannot send. Whether it does is for Grok Bot's own screens to show. Either way, these are the actions that change something on LinkedIn:
send_messageSend one message to a 1st-degree connection, or into an existing conversation, now.send_chat_messageSend a message into one conversation, with files, a voice note or a video note, or as an answer to one message.send_invitationSend one connection invitation, now.
get_usage shows how many of each your account used today. Every action and its limit is on the actions page.
Where to set it up
The LinkedIn address and what it takes to get one are on the LinkedIn MCP page. If you would rather have the morning list and the drafts done for you, the LinkedIn AI agent finds who to talk to next and asks you before it sends.
Questions
What is Grok Bot?
In Zapier's words, it is an AI agent app by SpaceXSI where you make a team of Bots, each with its own name, role and context. The Bots share one cloud computer.
Can I add a LinkedIn connector to Grok Bot?
Zapier's guide says Grok Bot's connectors are MCP servers. It does not say whether you can add one of your own by its address. Look in Connect apps. If it takes an address, the LinkedIn one goes there.
Do I need a paid Grok plan for connectors?
Zapier's post says that depending on your Grok plan, you may need a paid Grok subscription to use connectors. It does not say which plans. Connecting your LinkedIn here can start on the free plan.
Can a Bot send LinkedIn messages without asking me?
A message goes out only when a send action runs. Tell your Bot to show you each draft first and to send only on your yes, and turn the send tools off if Grok Bot lets you.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
