HeyReagent / How to send LinkedIn invitations from Claude
How to send LinkedIn invitations from Claude
Connect your LinkedIn account to Claude once, then ask it in plain words to invite someone: give a name, a profile link or a search, and say whether to add a note. Each invitation goes out from your own account, one person at a time, and nothing is sent until you ask for it.

Can Claude send a LinkedIn invitation for me?
Yes, once your LinkedIn account is connected. You tell Claude who to invite, and one action sends one invitation from your account, now. The answer says whether it went out and which account sent it.
- "Send a LinkedIn invitation to this person: linkedin.com/in/their-name"
- "Invite Anna Weber on LinkedIn, the product manager at the company we talked about."

The person is named by their profile link. If you give a name instead, ask Claude to find the profile first and show it to you, so the invitation goes to the right person.
How do I find the right people first?
Most of the time you do not have a list yet. Ask for a search in your own words: a job, a place, how close they are to you. The search only reads, so nothing changes on your account.
- "Find heads of sales in Berlin I am not connected to yet."
- "Who reacted to the post at this link and is not a connection of mine?"
search_peopleSearch people on ordinary LinkedIn by plain words, a place name and connection degree.engagers_not_connectedList the people who reacted to or commented on a post and are not your connections.
Read the list, then say who to invite. For example: invite the first three, with a short note that mentions their post. The steps are also written out in the recipes.
Can I add a personal note?
Yes. Ask Claude to write the note, read it, change what you want, then tell it to send. A note can be up to 300 characters. On a free LinkedIn account it can be up to 200, and only a few invitations with a note are possible in any 30 days.
- "Write a two-line note for each of them and show me before you send anything."
- "Send the invitation to the second one without a note."
When the free account's notes are used up, the invitation is refused with a note. Send it without one, or wait.
How many invitations can I send in a day?
Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each LinkedIn account. For invitations it is 30 a day, or 20 on a free LinkedIn account, and there is also a weekly limit. LinkedIn can refuse an invitation sooner than that. Ask what you have used at any time.
- "How many LinkedIn invitations have I sent today, and how many are left this week?"
get_usageRead how many of each LinkedIn action your account used today, and each daily limit.
Every limit is listed on the actions page.
What happens after I send them?
The invitations wait until each person answers. Ask for the ones still unanswered whenever you like. If one has waited too long, you can take it back: that is its own page, how to withdraw LinkedIn invitations nobody answered.
- "Which of my LinkedIn invitations are still waiting for an answer?"
list_sent_invitationsList the invitations you sent that are still unanswered.
If you would rather not do this by hand each week, the LinkedIn AI agent finds who to talk to next and asks you before it sends.
Where to set it up
The steps to connect your LinkedIn to Claude are on the Claude page. The same works in ChatGPT, Meta Muse and n8n.
Questions
Does Claude send invitations without asking me?
An invitation is sent when you ask for it. If you want to see each one first, say so: ask for the list of people and the notes, read them, and only then tell it which ones to send.
What if I already invited that person?
If the person still has an unanswered invitation from you, no second one goes out. The answer hands back the id of the invitation that is already waiting, so you can see it or take it back.
Can I send invitations from more than one LinkedIn account?
Yes. Connect each account, then say which one to send from. If you do not name one, your first account that works is used. Each account has its own daily limits.
Can LinkedIn restrict my account for using it?
LinkedIn's User Agreement does not allow automated activity, and LinkedIn can limit or restrict an account that it decides is automated. Every kind of action here has a daily limit for each account to lower that risk. The limits do not remove it.
